This 15-watt 20.0 UVB LED strip light is great.  It’s only 11 inches wide so it’s UVB would cover the same area as a 10 inch deep dome silver bulb housing from Home Depot or Lowes with a mercury vapor or coil bulb.  I would use this bulb with my bearded dragons who bask at 14 inches below their lights.  I tested the UVB output of this light using my UVB meter which measures UVB in uW/cm2.  Here are the results:There are 4 #’s below: 1) 14″ away directly under, 2) 14″ away off to right side just outside the housing, 3) 14″ away off to left side just outside the housing, and 4) 10″ away directly underneath for those people who may have reptiles basking at 10″ under their lights.  I let the bulbs stay on for 5 minutes before testing (The numbers will start out high and drop over time so that’s why you have to wait 5 minutes to get a true reading).  The 1st button press on the inline controller adjusts both the brightness and the UVB.  The 2nd button has 3 brightness settings too and lets you lower the brightness with the second button without affecting the UVB regardless of what UVB it’s set at with the first button – the highest brightness has UVB (what it was on with the numbers recorded below), the second highest brightness shuts off the UVB if you don’t want UVB, and the dimmest has UVB (also has the same numbers as recorded below):Highest brightness with first button press:14″ – 190,  R – 42, L – 113.10″ – 235.2nd highest brightness:14″ – 158, R – 38, L – 94.10″ – 186.3rd highest brightness:14″ – 120, R – 29, L – 71.10″ – 90.4th highest brightness:14″ – 80, R – 20, L – 48.10″ – 88.The 5th and 6th highest brightness would have numbers that would be too low for bearded dragons to bask in.  Based on the results I would choose the 2nd or 3rd highest brightness for my bearded dragons to bask in at 14″ away from the light. The only info. I found on the internet regarding uW/cm2 with bearded dragons was what 1 person said on Amazon:”Bearded Dragons given a UVB gradient were observed to spend most of their time basking in the range of 30 to 150 μW/cm2 but occasionally would bask at 200 to 300 μW/cm2.  With that said, if your UVB light is producing less than around 75 μW/cm2 UVB, it’s definitely time to replace it.  The basking spot should provide therapeutic basking strength no less than 75 μW/cm2.”I haven’t tested any tube strip bulbs at 14 inches away yet so I can’t compare this light to them.  But it does have a little more UVB output than my 120-watt mercury vapor bulb has.Hope this helps someone!
